In November groups of children from St. Mary's Primary School and St. Oswald's Primary school helped Friends of Springfield Park plant bulbs.
10,000 bulbs were planted.
Friends of Springfield Park were joined by local primary schools to help plant bulbs in the Woodland Garden 15 children from St Mary’s C of E Primary School and 25 children from St Oswald’s C of E Primary School to help plant 10,000 bulbs. The children planted a selection of Bluebells, Winter Aconites and Woodland Anemone.

As you can see, the children worked hard listening and planting. In helping to pant the bulbs we hope this will encouraged the children to plant more plants in the future, and feel a great sense of accomplishment when they see the flowers blooming in the Spring.
