Dual purpose bin, recently installed, for dog litter and general litter.
There are regular volunteer litter pickers, who on a daily basis, pick up other folks litter.
I for one, would not expect them to pick up the dog litter. That job should be the dog owners! Now these bins have been installed, it makes the disposal of the said matter, easier!
There are many, many responsible dog owners who use the park and 'clear up', after their dog, and we thank you. Unfortunately there are those who don't!
Wyre Forest District Councils Enforcement Officer is working in Springfield Park with the support of FoSP to reduce dog fouling.
The regulations state, that
being unaware that the dog has fouled or not having suitable means of removing faeces is NOT a reasonable excuse for failing to clean up after your dog!
You could be fined £1000 in a magistrates court,
alternatively an authorised officer may issue a fixed penalty notice between of £50
Pick it up, seal it in a bag and place in a waste bin, if this is not possible put it in your own bin.
